Notes:

  1. The additive concentration can be higher or lower than the initial concentration in the fluid bag, depending on whether
    you are trying to increase or decrease the final concentration
     
  2. Standard IV fluid bags are overfilled by an average of ~5-15% depending on their size. The following table has mean
    volumes for standard bags that can be used in the Fluid bag volume (mL) calculation fields below:
